Naturally derived ingredients have been modified from their original state through additional processing. This is generally done to improve the ingredient’s safety or efficacy.

Aloe Vera,

This is an ingredient that hasn’t changed much from how it occurs at the source. The natural emollience (soft feel) and anti-irritant properties of Aloe Vera make it ideal for use in lotion. We use freeze-dried Aloe, because in this form it is shelf-stable with no added preservatives.

Water,

Sterilized, naturally sourced, combining Hydrogen and Oxygen, elements found in comets and the cosmic dust.

Mm CBD Oil, our propriety, solvent-free, toxin-free process, 100% bioavailable CBD molecules.

Shea Butter,

An emollient butter from the nut of the African Karite tree, expeller extracted and filtered, Shea butter has been in use for centuries for its skin protectant properties.

Stable and resistant to rancidity. Contains naturally occurring vitamins, A, D and E.

Cocoa Butter,

Cocoa butter is the cream-colored emollient butter extracted from cacao seeds (aka cocoa beans) providing a breathable barrier to protect sensitive skin against environmental stress. Containing natural antioxidants that prevent rancidity, it is extremely stable with a long shelf life.

Babassu Oil,

An oil cold pressed from Babassu Palm kernels. It is lightweight, nutrient-rich and melts upon contact with your skin for quick-drying and easy application, and since it doesn’t clog your pores, it’s great for people with oily skin or a tendency for acne. Do we need to mention it is also loaded with antioxidants? It has a shelf life of 2-3 years.

Fractionated Coconut Oil,

A wonder oil selected for its incredible moisturizing properties and used to process our Mm CBD Oil. Also known as MCT oil, is shelf stable 3 years+. The allergen has been removed. Good news for those with tree nut allergies. Products stay liquid at room temps. As the name suggests, medium-chain triglyceride (MCT) oil contains medium-length chains of fats called triglycerides. Due to their shorter length, MCTs are more easily digested than longer-chain fatty acids found in many other foods.

Emulsifiers:

ECOMulse,

A natural source, self-emulsifier for oil in water lotions. It contains no ethoxylated (harsh substances made less so) ingredients. Lactic acid and fatty acids are natural moisturizing factor constituents that are found in the skin. The lactylates are excellent viscosity enhancers, stabilizers, and conditioners.

Sodium Stearoyl Lactylate      10-20%

Glyceryl Stearate, also called glyceryl monostearate, is a white or pale-yellow substance derived from palm kernel, olives, or coconuts. We use glyceryl stearate in our lotion as a moisturizer; it also prevents products from feeling greasy. As an emulsifier, it allows products to stay blended. Glyceryl stearate is formed through a reaction of glycerin with stearic acid, which is a fatty acid that comes from vegetable fats and oils.

Sodium Stearoyl Lactylate is a plant-derived, vegan ingredient. It does not contain dairy. Considered safe by the FDA, and the European Food Safety Authority. It is an emulsifier and stabilizer. Sodium Stearoyl Lactylate does not contain milk protein and thus need not be restricted by people avoiding milk.

Cetearyl Alcohol is a common multitasker ingredient. Skin-friendly with hydrating, conditioning, and softening properties that benefit both skin and hair. It is a combination of cetyl and stearyl alcohols, which occur naturally in plants. Not to be confused with alcohol that has drying effects on the skin, such as rubbing alcohol.

It is a soothing lubricant (emollient) and helps homogenize components that naturally separate. These stabilizing properties ensure the oils and water remain combined, thus promoting an ideal, smooth texture that ultimately gives the final product an easy glide on the skin and does not pose a risk of sensitizing skin.

Montanov L,

Is a green synthesis emulsifier with ECOCert approval. It is 100% vegetable origin and GMO-free. Green synthesis means that it is made without solvents, is ethylene oxide-free, preservative-free and biodegradable. A non-ionic (carries no positive or negative charge), liquid crystal emulsifier for oil-in-water formulas. Liquid crystal emulsifiers create a bi-layered structure that mimics the lipid bi-layers in our stratum corneum, the outer layer of the skin (epidermis), and is the major barrier to chemical transfer through the skin, which may help the actives penetrate our skin easier.

Preservatives

Leucidal SF, Active Micro Technology®,

An antimicrobial developed as a natural alternative to synthetic preservatives containing parabens, formaldehyde donors and phenoxyethanol, while inhibiting the growth of a variety of bacteria and fungi. Used with AMTicide® Coconut for added protection against yeast and mold.

AMTicide® Coconut,

Is created by fermenting Cocos nucifera (Coconut) fruit with Lactobacillus to deliver a non-irritating, effective and multifunctional product which can provide moisturizing and conditioning benefits in hair and skin care applications. In addition, it is effective at preventing the growth of fungus, specifically yeast and mold, thus providing additional protection for lotions using natural preservatives systems.

PhytoCide® Aspen Bark,

Is extracted from the bark of the American Aspen tree, also known as the Quaking or Trembling Aspen. The bark of the Aspen tree is rich in salicylates that may function as the plant’s natural defense mechanism against invading parasites. It is GMO Free and water extracted. Provides a broad spectrum of antibacterial and antifungal activity. Developed by AMT.

Xanthan Gum,

Not a preservative, but another multitasker ingredient. A stabilizer and emulsifier, it is formed during the fermentation of vegetable material, then dried and ground into a powder. Not known to be a skin or eye irritant. Effective in very small amounts. Our formula uses only 0.2%.
